Civil Design Engineer

What Are We Looking For?

RSE is looking to hire an experienced Civil Design Engineer to join the division on a permanent basis at our H/O in Inverness. You will work as part of our in‑house, multidisciplinary design team and take on a key role in all aspects of projects from scoping and detailed design right through to implementation, ensuring compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards.

Some of Your Key Duties Include

• Develop Civil design deliverables from concept to detailed design for a variety of projects within the water industry.
• Provide technical guidance on Civil engineering matters to the wider project team.
• Collaborate with delivery teams on the planning and implementation of the project design.
• Meet with clients to discuss intervention requirements and ensure compliance with their needs and specifications.

What Do You Need?

• Degree, HND or HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of British and European design standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrable experience as a Civil Engineer in a design office, with additional experience in the construction environment desirable.
• Experience within the water industry is beneficial; other backgrounds may also be considered.
• Full UK driving licence.
