Position Overview

Capgemini Invent invites applications for a Managing Consultant with expertise in Programme and Portfolio Management. The role is part of the Programme & Change Acceleration team, delivering mid‑to‑large client business transformation initiatives with a focus on automation and advanced tooling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of medium‑sized and complex client business transformation initiatives.
  • Manage a large client contract, including budgets, resource profiles and billing.
  • Contribute to delivery strategies and new offerings, integrating existing assets or adopting new insights to enhance programme leadership and P3O services through automation, advanced tooling, and tailored methodologies.
  • Participate in the Programme and Change Practice, supporting the execution of the 2026 strategy.
  • Develop internal training pathways to upskill consultants in automation, tooling, and P3M methodologies.
  • Lead client delivery teams and mentor or coach junior team members, fostering capability development and team growth.

Business Development & Growth Opportunities

  • Lead or contribute to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitches, and client hosting at events.
  • Engage in internal initiatives such as campaign development, think‑tanks, whitepapers, practice development, and offering development.
  • Participate in training and certifications that support career advancement and meet organisational skill demands.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven track record of delivering complex, multi‑supplier transformation initiatives across various industries, with expertise in programme governance, stakeholder management, and risk management.
  • Commercial acumen to structure deals that benefit both clients and Capgemini, identifying opportunities to enhance programme leadership and P3O services.
  • Experience with multiple delivery approaches and methodologies, particularly hybrid models combining traditional PMO practices with Agile frameworks.
  • Current employment in a major consulting firm or industry role.

Desirable Skills & Certifications

  • Relevant P3M qualifications (e.g., MSP, MoP, P3O, PMQ, PPQ, ProSCI, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or agile equivalents).
  • PMI certifications such as PMP or PgMP.
  • Experience in proposition building and leading the transition from sales into delivery.
  • Ability to thrive in a matrixed organisation and secure support from peers for consulting solutions.
  • UK security vetting status of Security Check (SC) within 6 months of appointment, if not already held.
