Senior Solutions Engineer

The Solutions Engineer (SE) is a sales‑technical role focused on customer and partner engagement. The SE supports the sales team by providing technical expertise, proposing relevant F5 solutions, and partnering with Account Managers to achieve allocated sales targets.

Job Overview

The primary objective is to achieve sales targets for F5 solutions by understanding customers’ technical and business challenges, and proposing effective solutions that deliver both technical and business value.

Responsibilities

  • Articulate F5 product strategy, messaging, positioning, and value proposition for customer business objectives.
  • Provide technical expertise through sales presentations, solution designs, demos, and proof‑of‑concepts via in‑person, virtual, and white‑board sessions.
  • Determine viability of opportunities and map the organizational structure.
  • Drive the sales process in partnership with Account Managers by identifying Technical Decision Makers, obtaining technical validation, support, and sponsorship.
  • Consistently deliver world‑class customer service throughout the customer life cycle.
  • Collaborate with internal technical and sales resources, share best practices, and seek expertise across opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of related industry experience.
  • BS/BA or equivalent work experience.
  • Familiarity/experience with F5 technology or similar industry solution deployment is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Fluent verbal and written skills in English.
  • Knowledge and experience with data centers, virtualization, and cloud computing environments.
  • Experience with service provider mobile network architectures and protocols (e.g., 3GPP).
  • Knowledge of Service Provider IP/MPLS network infrastructures and SD‑WAN technologies.
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, SCM tools, and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Experience in the RFx process.
  • Knowledge of network and application security; L3–L7 security knowledge is required.
