Locum Consultant Radiologist – Paediatric Imaging

Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Sherwood Forest Hospitals are seeking a Fixed Term Locum Consultant General Radiologist with a subspecialist interest in Paediatric Imaging. The role involves specialist reporting for acute and elective paediatric cases and working across both sites.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist reporting for acute and elective paediatric cases.
  • Share general reporting workload with colleagues.
  • Lead and develop paediatric acute services.
  • Collaborate on clinical quality improvement projects.

Qualifications

  • MBBS / MBBCh and FRCR.
  • Paediatric Imaging sub‑specialist training.
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice at time of application.
  • Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register.
  • Formal teaching qualifications.
  • Formal NHS leadership / management training.

Experience

  • Clinical training equivalent to a UK CCT in general radiology.
  • Independent reporting in paediatric sonography and plain film.
  • Experience supervising undergraduate and postgraduate residents.
  • Experience in a similar post and clinical leadership training.
  • Basic IT skills and use of RIS and PACS.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate caring attitude toward patients.

Contract

Fixed term – 12 monthsFull‑timeSalary: £113,565 to £150,569 a year (dependent on experience)
