What is on offer as a Disability Assessor?

• Excellent starting salary at £39,500 per year
• Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm working hours

What does the Disability Assessor role involve?

The Functional Assessor role will involve carrying out 3 to 5 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you conduct telephone, video or face‑to‑face assessments to understand how a person’s disability or health condition affects their daily life. You will listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report that helps the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. You do not make the final decision – you gather information and produce the report.

What we look for

• Occupational Therapist with 1 year or more broad post‑registration experience
• Proactive and keen to learn
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Competent IT and computer skills
• Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health
