We are now looking for a CAD Technician/Template Processor to join our 24/7 production team at our Solid Surface Manufacturing Site in Holme on Spalding Moor, East Yorkshire.
In this role, you will transform templates into accurate technical drawings using industry‑specific CAD software. These drawings will form the blueprint for the manufacture of our premium kitchen worktops. You will also be responsible for programming CNC machinery from these drawings to ensure precise and efficient production. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will work closely with colleagues across departments as well as contractors on‑site to support smooth operations.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 8am – 4:30pm.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and producing technical drawings using industry‑specific CAD software in line with the planning schedule
- Conducting compliance checks on existing templates and drawings
- Programming CNC machinery, including assigning tool paths, nesting pieces, and allocating material support
- Liaising with subcontractors and main contractors on‑site
- Working collaboratively with the production department to resolve technical issues
- Adhering to health and safety requirements, company quality standards, machine output expectations, and housekeeping protocols
- Running and updating reports and order‑tracking systems
Qualifications
- Experience using AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail and good numerical ability
- A positive communication style and the ability to build effective working relationships
- Initiative and an innovative approach to problem‑solving
- Solid Surface manufacturing experience (desirable but not essential)
