Small Tools Fitter – Tool Hire

As a Small Tools Fitter at First Response, you will repair, service, and test a wide range of hire equipment, including electrical, diesel, and petrol‑powered tools. You will ensure that all equipment leaving the depot is safe, reliable, and ready for customers.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and test a range of small tools.
• Conduct routine maintenance in line with manufacturers’ recommendations.
• Maintain compliance with all industry standards and safety regulations.
• Record service and inspection details accurately using our internal IT systems.
• Support colleagues with technical advice when required.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.

Must‑Haves

• Experience servicing and repairing electrical, diesel, and petrol‑powered tools.
• Strong fault‑finding xlqdzyr and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent time management & reliability.
• Good written and verbal communication abilities.
• IT literate.
• Ability to work independently and show initiative.
• A strong team ethic and positive attitude.
• Full UK Driving Licence (preferable).

Benefits

• Salary: £30K – £35k based on experience.
• Benefit: Company Pension.
• Hours: 07:30 – 17:00 (Monday to Friday).
• Location: Rainham, Essex.
