About The Role
Location: Warwickshire (Budbrooke). We’re looking for a Highways Maintenance Operative to support the delivery of high-quality highway maintenance and construction works in Warwickshire and Solihull. This hands‑on role offers varied work, where safety, teamwork, and pride in your work are key.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play a vital role in maintaining and improving the local highway network, carrying out a wide range of activities including:
- Pothole repairs and patching works
- Footway and carriageway construction
- Installation and repair of street furniture, bollards and fencing
- Drainage and ironworks installation
- Kerbing, slabbing, block laying and concreting
- Excavation of trenches and compliance with traffic management requirements
You’ll ensure all tasks are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards, contributing to successful service delivery across the contract.

Essential Experience
- Highway maintenance and civils works
- Pothole repairs and footway construction
- Drainage, ironworks and concreting
- Traffic management and gritting operations
- Plant awareness and manual handling
- Full driving licence
Desirable Qualifications
- Class 1 or Class 2 licence
- NRSWA
- 12D Traffic Management (T1/T2)
- CSCS Highway Maintenance
- First Aid / Abrasive Wheels
