TIG Welder – Contract Role

Location: Chichester, West SussexProject Type: Construction / Fabrication (thin sheet metal work)Duration: 6+ weeksPay Rate: £28 per hour (CIS)

We are seeking an experienced TIG Welder to support site works, primarily focused on thin sheet metal welding. This is a hands‑on role requiring high-quality welding standards and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced site environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out high-quality TIG welding, mainly on thin gauge sheet metal.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans.
• Ensure all welds meet required quality and safety standards.
• Perform basic fabrication and fitting duties where required.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area at all times.
• Work closely with supervisors and other trades on site.
• Adhere strictly to hot work permits and site safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a TIG Welder (essential).
• Strong experience working with thin sheet metal.
• Valid CSCS Card.
• Manlift (MEWP) licence required.
• Forklift licence required.
• Experience working under hot work permits.
