About the Role
We are seeking to recruit like-minded individuals who are passionate about supporting young people to be the very best that they can be, and we are now seeking to appoint a SEND Support Worker. The role of SEND Support Worker will provide administrative and support to the SEND team including:
Responsibilities
- Deliver small group targeted interventions
- Track and monitor the success of interventions
- Create appropriate resources for targeted students
- Work closely with students on caseload to support them to thrive
- Work in partnership with teachers and support staff to meet the needs of child
- Monitor SEND data
- Support SEND transition processes and systems
- Support SEND parent meetings and communication
- Contribute to EHCP-based IEPs and the 3 to thrive register
Qualifications
- At least 5 GCSEs at grade C or 4/5 or above, including English and Maths
- Evidence of experience working with young people with a range of SEND needs
- Ability to forge strong and positive relationships with students to motivate and inspire them to achieve their goals
- Experience of supporting young people in a classroom environment
- Ability to prioritise work and manage work to meet tight deadlines
- Scale 5/6 (points 12–22). Actual salary £24,895 – £29,336 per annum
Working Hours and Salary
Hours: 37 hours per week, Term Time Only (plus 8 days). Scale 5/6 (points 12–22). Actual salary £24,895 – £29,336 per annum.
