Receptionist / Administrator

We are looking for a motivated admin person with above average computer abilities and great interpersonal skills to join the Northwick Park Cardiology team.
Proficient in Excel, Outlook and Word; confident in databases and booking systems. Responsible for booking follow‑up appointments, discharging patients, and maintaining clinical activity data.
Main duties
- Work as part of the Cardiology Department multi‑disciplinary team, providing efficient administrative and reception service.
- Record all outpatient attendances on the Patient Access System.
- Book follow‑up appointments, discharge back to GP and/or add to waiting lists.
- File documents according to Information Governance policy.
- Communicate with patients, visitors and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain an uncluttered and tidy reception area, keeping it hygienic and sanitary.
- Support managers and supervisors in developing a patient‑focused service.
Qualifications
Education and Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience.
- English at GCSE level.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Experience delivering excellent customer service.
- Experience working in a constantly changing environment without direct supervision.
- Understanding of confidentiality, data protection and safeguarding.
- Experience with Cerner/NHS systems.
Skills:
- Advanced keyboard skills.
- Accurate electronic data entry.
- Confident user of Excel and Outlook.
- Experience using Cerner.

Benefits
Salary: £29,651 to £31,312 a year including High Cost Area Supplement.
Contract: Fixed term – 12 months.
