About this job
Recruiting personnel at levels such as experienced Pipe Fitters for day shifts working between main Fab Shop and Sites.
Work will involve alternation between the Fab Shop (1–2 weeks) and Sites (1–2 weeks or 3–4 weeks) focusing on installation & fabrication of pipework (2–4 inch & 6–12 inch carbon & stainless pipe).
Setting up pipe butts & pipe flanges to strict QC specs ready for coded welders, fitting pipe work, valves, supports to engineering drawings, and fitting pre‑fabricated pipe spools & supports.
Candidate must be qualified to Level 3 / Apprenticeship / ACE in pipe fitting, have minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience (nuclear, oil & gas, power generation, petrochemical, marine & shipbuilding, heavy industrial construction) and demonstrate this in a competency‑based interview. Must be able to read PID drawings & G‑A drawings and fabricate pipe work to strict QC specs.
- Valid CCNSG or ESMS Card safety passport required prior to starting. Pay by PAYE rates or pos CIS rates with extra12.5% on top of basic hours – £24 days, £30 nights, £35 OT1, £42 OT2.
- Travel expense and travel time paid.
- Term work 6 to 13 weeks to start, may extend to long‑term 26–52 weeks. Working arrangement is 10 days on / 4 days off (Tuesday through the following Thursday), day shift and night shift options.
