Support Worker – Holmewood, Chesterfield
We are looking for a friendly, encouraging and reliable Support Worker to enable people with learning disabilities to enjoy life in a fun, sensory and person‑centered way.
Responsibilities
The role involves supporting individuals, following their individual plans and supporting structured routines, providing sensory support, and creating engaging activities such as music, arts and crafts, gardening, sweet treats, and sensory toys and games.
Qualifications & Skills
- Encouraging and friendly
- Patient
- Committed, reliable and a team player
- Has a sense of humour, is fun and will have a laugh with us
- Can follow individual plans and support structured routines
- Ideally skilled in non‑verbal communication and able to recognise and use it
- Able to provide sensory support to make activities engaging
- Can work waking nights, weekends and bank holidays
- Holds a full UK driver’s licence and can drive manual cars
Training & Support
Full induction and training will be provided, including a funded enhanced DBS check.
