Vehicle Maintenance Technician

Location: LeicesterWorking hours: 40 per weekShift: Rotating shiftsWeek 1: 06:00-14:30 Mon-FriWeek 2: 12:30-21:00 Mon-FriFlexible hours may be considered for the right candidate.Salary: Base pay £21.70 per hour plus shift allowance.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and repair of company fleet in line with planned maintenance schedules to ensure vehicles and trailers are safe, legal and fit for duties.
• Complete signed service and inspection records.
• Complete defect reports and associated paperwork to comply with legal requirements.
• Prepare vehicles and trailers for annual MOT testing to ensure first‑time pass.
• Perform ad‑hoc vehicle repairs, investigate and rectify vehicle defects.

Qualifications

• Skill and applicable licences from vocational training, e.g., LGV C&E license (class one).
• Knowledge of the use and operation of all automotive equipment and testing/troubleshooting equipment.
• Ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy vehicle components.
• Experience with welding and basic DC electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Valid Class 2 driving licence.
