Customer Service & Collections Agent – Hybrid Working

Location: Croydon (within 10 miles)

Salary: £24,570 per year + performance-based bonus (typically £500/month, with top performers earning significantly more)

Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid (after training period & probation)

About The Role

As a Customer Service Agent, you’ll:

  • Engage with customers about overdue accounts with professionalism and empathy
  • Negotiate affordable repayment plans and set up payment arrangements
  • Identify and support vulnerable customers when needed
  • Handle customer queries and complaints efficientlyManage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls
  • Maintain accurate records and follow all regulatory procedures

This role is ideal for candidates experienced in contact centres, collections, or customer-facing roles who are confident handling sensitive and challenging conversations.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in collections, contact centre, or customer service roles
  • Strong verbal communication, active listening, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Confidence in problem-solving and objection handling

Working Hours & Training

  • Full-time, 37.5 hours/week
  • Rotational shifts: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Training: 5 weeks, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM at Croydon office
  • Hybrid working available after successful completion of 3-month probation
