Job Title: Teaching Assistant Level 2 – Resource Base

Actual Annual Salary: £24,711 – £26,640 Based on hours and weeks worked

Full Time Equivalent Salary: £28,859 – £31,111 (CLF Grade C) Based on full time hours, all year round.

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week – Full Time, Term Time Only Plus Inset days

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

Potential Start Date: September 2026 (subject to completion of pre‑employment checks)

About the Role: This is a rare and genuinely exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in our brand‑new Resource Base at Hans Price Academy, opening in September within a newly designed building and provision. The Resource Base will support students with Autism (ASD), speech, language and communication needs (SLCN), and emotional‑based school avoidance (EBSA) needs.

You will engage with the Resource Base Manager and/or SENCO as well as colleagues to play an active role in monitoring, evaluating, assessing and reporting on the needs of specific students and their short‑ and long‑term learning goals. Record and report on students’ achievements, progress and development.

  • Knowledge of supporting students with Autism and Emotional Based School Avoidance
  • Be able to engage students and manage behaviour on a one‑to‑one or small‑group basis.
  • Good literacy and numeracy competency (evidenced by GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above, equivalent qualifications or experience).
  • Commitment to undertake relevant qualifications and to ensure ongoing professional development.
  • Have good planning and organisational skills, specifically regarding learning activities and support materials.
  • Be someone with a keen interest in working with children and committed to inclusion and acceptance of all.
