We are seeking a compassionate, resilient, and enthusiastic Children’s Therapeutic Support Worker to join our dedicated team in Tiverton. This is an opportunity to be part of a service that provides therapeutic care and support to children and young people in a nurturing and structured environment.

The Role

As a Children’s Therapeutic Support Worker, you will:

  • Build positive and trusting relationships with children and young people
  • Support emotional wellbeing and personal development
  • Promote independence, life skills, and positive behaviours
  • Participate in activities, appointments, and community engagement
  • Contribute to therapeutic support plans
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals
  • Have a full UK driving licence
  • Be willing to work weekends on a rota basis
  • Be willing to undertake sleep‑in duties
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to remain calm, resilient, and professional in challenging situations
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Have experience working with children and young people
  • Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or be willing to work towards it
  • Have experience within care, support work, education, youth work, or mental health services
