Job Summary
Support Booking Coordinator – Central Booking, Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. Band 2, permanent full‑time role with opening dates 28 May 2026 and closing date 11 June 2026.
Responsibilities
- Administer the national NHS e‑Referrals System and ensure swift, accurate entry of referrals onto the Hospital Electronic Patient Record.
- Provide cover for the Salisbury Referral Centre – single point of access for email referrals from external healthcare organisations and for internal referrals.
- Man the Central Booking Call Centre using the Netcall system.
- Provide excellent patient service and deliver all standards within the Trust Access Policy, ensuring an outstanding experience for patients.
- Use eRS, Lorenzo and other IT systems, and maintain knowledge of patient pathways and referral processes.
- Work within a busy team environment, prioritise workload, meet deadlines and support colleagues as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent in English Language.
- Basic numeracy qualification.
- Recent administrative experience.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Desire to learn NHS policies and procedures.
- Desire to learn patient administration processes used within the NHS.
- Current UK professional registration.
Desirable
- Basic IT qualification.
- Experience using a variety of IT systems.
- Existing knowledge of patient administration processes used within the NHS.
- Experience using eRS, Lorenzo or similar systems.
Working Hours
Open 8:00 – 18:00 Monday‑Thursday and 8:00 – 17:30 Friday. Post holder will work three days 8:00 – 18:00 and one day 8:00 – 17:30.
