Job Description:

Derbyshire County Council is looking for Enablement Support Workers to join the Short‑Term Assessment and Reablement Team (START). The team is multi‑disciplinary, consisting of social workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and healthcare professionals working together to promote and maintain the independence and dignity of people in their homes.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with people in their homes, supporting daily living activities such as personal care, medication and wellbeing to promote independence and confidence.
  • Support individuals in achieving therapeutic goals set by occupational therapists and physiotherapists, ensuring effective use of assistive technology and equipment.
  • Contribute to the assessment process and accurately record progress, escalating concerns when required.

  • Comfortable using smartphones and apps for record‑keeping.
  • A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.
  • Availability to work on a rota that includes early mornings, late evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
