This is a part-time post for 30 hours (4 days per week).
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of a Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT) scheduler to join the SACT outpatients team at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
We are looking for 2 part-time (4 days/week, 30 hours) individuals to join our newly established SACT pathway coordination service, in order to help streamline care and improve the experience of patients undergoing cancer treatment.
You should be prepared to work across our 3 outpatient SACT units:
2/ Bracknell Chemotherapy 1, Bracknell Healthspace.
3/ The Rosemary Centre, West Berkshire Community Hospital, Thatcham.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) appointments for patients on the SACT Units provided by the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.
Working closely with clinical staff, pharmacy, and administrative colleagues, the SACT Scheduler ensures timely and accurate scheduling of treatment to optimise patient care, improve patient flow, and support safe and effective delivery of SACT services. This includes ensuring capacity is used efficiently and according to clinical priority and patient need.

Person Specification
Education/Qualifications/Training
- Educated to GCSE level, with knowledge acquired through experience or training equating to vocational Level 3 or equivalent
- EPR/Aria trained
- Advanced Communication Skills
- Computer Literacy Course
Experience
- Experience of using full range of IT systems and patient data systems
- Experience of using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team
- Experience of working in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of patient pathway management
- Experience of working in the NHS/Healthcare sector
- Experience of training/supervising junior team members
