Job Description:

High Wycombe primary school seeks dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join supportive team. Interviews in Summer 2026 ahead of September 2026 start.

This role supports children with SEN, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs. Works with teachers and SENCO to provide tailored support, ensuring pupils thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting children with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language needs
  • Assisting with the planning and delivery of individual learning plans
  • Providing one-to-one or small group support
  • Helping to create an inclusive and encouraging classroom environment
  • Liaising with staff and external professionals as needed

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Experience working with children with SEN (in a school or similar setting)
  • A calm, empathetic, and flexible approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine commitment to making a positive impact on pupils’ learning

This is a full-time position during term time, with working hours in line with the school day.
