We are seeking caring and dependable SEMH Support Assistants to work in primary and secondary schools across Worthing and nearby areas. You’ll provide tailored support to pupils who need extra help working one-to-one, assisting small groups, and helping create a calm, inclusive learning environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting pupils with SEMH and additional needs in both learning and wellbeing
  • Encouraging focus, confidence, and engagement throughout the school day
  • Assisting teachers with lessons, routines, and classroom activities
  • Creating a safe, positive space where every child feels valued
  • Adapting to different schools, age groups, and individual needs

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people (education, care, youth work, etc.)
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Confidence to work across different school settings
  • A genuine passion for helping children reach their potential
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
