Dronfield Henry Fanshawe School is a successful, oversubscribed school with 1809 students on roll including 297 in the Sixth Form. It is situated close to the centres of Sheffield and Chesterfield on the edge of the Peak District National Park.
The Governors are seeking to appoint a caretaker to join the Facilities Management Team, which comprises 4 Caretakers, 2 Maintenance Technicians and the Facilities Manager, plus the Cleaning Team.
The successful candidate will have a can‑do attitude, be willing to go the extra mile, and will be physically fit to meet the demands of the job, providing efficient and effective site maintenance support to the school. Previous experience is beneficial but training will be provided.
The post requires flexibility of working, including a three‑weekly shift pattern spanning 6.00 am to 10.00 pm (see below), a four‑weekly weekend lettings rotation—usually Saturday only—and cover for colleagues’ absence.
3‑Weekly Shift Rotation
- 6.00 am – 2.00 pm
- 8.00 am – 4.00 pm
- 2.00 pm – 10.00 pm
