Driver 18T plus Hiab

Job Description

We are actively looking to appoint an 18T HGV Driver, preferably with HIAB experience to join our successful team in Colchester. If you are a hardworking, flexible individual who enjoys working as part of a team, this may be the perfect opportunity for you!

Our drivers are customer facing as they deliver civils and drainage products to customers in Colchester and surrounding areas. Duties will include:

• Efficient & safe operation of the vehicle
• Complete & on time delivery of orders to JDP customers
• Comply with all vehicle and drivers’ legislation
• Represent JDP at point of delivery, providing excellent customer service and upholding JDPs strong reputation.

Candidate Profile

• Eager and supportive individual willing to learn all aspects of our operations
• Possession of a Class C License and HIAB
• Some Driver CPC training completed
• Digital driving license (tachograph card)
• Knowledge of Health & Safety in a workplace
• Comprehensive understanding of driver procedures, including “driving hours rules & regulations”
• Ability to plan the most efficient routes for the daily delivery schedule
• Outstanding communication and customer service abilities

Qualifications

Must hold Class C licence.

Hiab – Desirable but not essential. Training will be discussed and provided for the right candidate.

Having FLT experience would be beneficial.
