Job Summary

Operational Trainers play a key role in ensuring that every member of staff is confident and competent in providing person‑centred, compassionate care.
Responsibilities
Operational Trainers at Barchester provide induction and development training to approximately six homes and/or hospitals in a specific region. They are the first point of contact for new staff and are responsible for:
- Coordinating and delivering induction and development training in line with Barchester objectives and training statistics.
- Providing practical, hands‑on training across a variety of subjects.
- Planning and publishing training calendars.
- Ensuring employee training files are up to date.
- Observing workplace practice.
- Arranging induction paperwork and a buddy for new employees.
- Maintaining regular contact with new team members, coaching and supporting where appropriate.
- Attending external meetings and conferences as required.
- Promoting learning and development opportunities that Barchester offers.
- Working with Home Managers to ensure the implementation of individual personal development plans.
Requirements
- C&G 7300 (or equivalent) Diploma level 3 in Health & Social Care or relevant experience in the social care sector.
- Working knowledge of legislative requirements in the care sector.
- Minimum two years of training experience.
- Full UK driving licence.
