If you do not hold an NVQ/BTEC level 2 in Pharmacy Services, orequivalent this would be an excellent opportunity to undertake a recognisedpharmacy qualification, whilst being paid a Band 2 salary (Band 3 uponcompletion). Main duties of the job

  • Accurately dispense medications and other pharmaceutical products in accordance with prescriptions and hospital protocols both electronically and on paper systems in both the dispensary and at ward level.
  • Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and managing pharmaceutical inventory.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare staff, including addressing queries and providing medication-related information, this may be face to face or over the telephone.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and hospital guidelines in all dispensing activities.
  • Maintain meticulous records of dispensed medications and manage patient information with confidentiality.
  • Support the pharmacy team with additional administrative tasks and operational duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Maths, Science and English Language at GCSE grade C/4 or above, or equivalent
  • Interpersonal Skills
  • NVQ Level 2/BTEC Level 2 in Pharmaceutical Science (MUST include a dispensing unit)
  • IT Training (MS Office)
