KS1 Class Teacher
Salary Grade: M1 – UPS3, £32,916 – £51,048 FTE (Pay Award Pending)
Working Hours: Full time, all year Contract Type: FTC for 1 year Start Date: September 2026
We are seeking an enthusiastic, nurturing and committed KS1 Teacher to join our vibrant primary school, working across our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 provision. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape strong foundations for learning at a crucial stage of children’s education.
You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality teaching and learning across EYFS and KS1, supporting children’s academic, social and emotional development through engaging, play‑based and structured learning experiences. You will work closely with colleagues across the Early Years and KS1 teams to ensure smooth transition and consistent progress for all pupils.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, inclusive lessons aligned with EYFS and KS1 frameworks
- Foster a safe, stimulating and nurturing classroom environment
- Use ongoing assessment to track progress and inform teaching
- Support children’s early literacy and numeracy development
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, staff and parents/carers
- Contribute to curriculum development and whole‑school initiatives
- Promote positive behaviour and strong relationships in the classroom
