Job Build Technician – Workforce Planning & Optimisation Team

Join our Workforce Planning & Optimisation Team at our office in Pride Park, Derby.

Responsibilities

  • Create compliant permits and work packs to enable emergency and planned repair, renewal, and installation works.
  • Build and set up all necessary information for operational teams to commence works safely and efficiently.
  • Liaise daily with internal and external stakeholders – suppliers, highway authorities, field managers, operatives, and local planning authorities – to secure approvals and ensure first‑time successful completion.

Shift Pattern

Work within an 11‑week rota, covering weekdays and 2 weekends.

  • Early shift – 06:30 to 14:30 (2 weeks of the 11)
  • Day shift – 08:00 to 16:00 (7 weeks of the 11)
  • Late shift – 12:00 to 20:00 (2 weeks of the 11)
  • Weekend shifts – 06:30 to 16:0

Friday early or day shifts end 30 minutes earlier; late shifts start 30 minutes later. Weekend Working Allowance included.
