As Pastry Chef de Partie , you will be responsible for delivering exceptional pastry and bakery creations, ensuring all items are prepared to the highest standards of quality, consistency and presentation. Working closely with the Pastry Sous Chef and Head Pastry Chef, you will take ownership of your section, contributing to innovative menus and maintaining the precision and artistry expected within a luxury culinary environment. This role is ideal for a passionate and skilled pastry professional who thrives in a high‑standards kitchen and takes pride in craftsmanship and creativity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and produce a wide range of pastries, breads and desserts in line with recipes and presentation standards
  • Manage your assigned pastry section, ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations
  • Review production sheets and ensure all items are prepared accurately and on time
  • Monitor quality, portioning and presentation of all pastry items throughout service
  • Assist in the development of new menu items and seasonal offerings
  • Ensure all food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards are followed at all times
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pastry kitchen and equipment
  • Monitor stock levels and minimise wastage through effective use of ingredients
  • Use all kitchen equipment, tools and appliances safely and correctly
  • Communicate effectively with the wider kitchen team to support service flow
  • Support training and guidance of junior team members where required
  • Report any equipment or maintenance issues promptly
  • Uphold company policies, procedures and luxury brand standards at all times

Core Competencies

  • Proven experience in a pastry role, ideally within a luxury hotel or high‑end restaurant
  • Strong knowledge of pastry, baking techniques and dessert preparation
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality and presentation
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑standards kitchen environment
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a section independently
  • A creative and innovative approach to pastry developmentGood understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen standards
