About the Role
As a Classroom Support Assistant, you will work across the classroom supporting the class teacher and pupils to ensure learning is accessible, engaging, and inclusive for all children.
You will play a key role in helping pupils stay focused, confident, and motivated throughout the school day, while also providing targeted support where needed. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils within the classroom to access learning activities
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom organisation
- Providing support to individuals and small groups where required
- Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement, and participation
- Helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and social skills
- Supporting classroom routines, transitions, and daily activities
- Contributing to a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff and the wider school team
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with children (school or childcare setting preferred)
- A patient, positive, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
- Adaptable and willing to get involved in all aspects of school life
