Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and production of pastries, desserts and baked goods in line with recipes and standards
- Support the Pastry team in managing daily operations of the assigned section
- Follow production sheets to ensure all items are prepared accurately and on time
- Ensure consistency, quality and presentation of all pastry items during preparation and service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pastry kitchen and equipment
- Adhere to food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards at all times
- Use kitchen tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Monitor stock levels and assist in minimising wastage
- Support the training and development of junior team members where required
- Communicate effectively with the broader kitchen team to ensure smooth service
- Report equipment issues or maintenance requirements promptly
- Uphold company policies and luxury service standards at all times
Core Competencies
- Previous experience in a pastry or kitchen role, ideally within a quality‑focused or luxury environment
- Basic knowledge of pastry techniques, baking and dessert preparation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and presentation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑standards kitchen environment
- Good organisational skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
