Early Years Domestic Support Assistant – fixed term until 05/02/2027

Location

Pennywell Early Learning and Childcare, part of the MacMillan Hub.

Key Information

Fixed term until 05/02/2027. Salary: £26,205 – £26,525 (pro‑rata for part‑time and sessional). Hours: 16 per week, 39 weeks sessional. Expected start date: 10/08/2026.

Job Description

Provide domestic support to the Early Years team and children on Monday to Thursday 09:30 – 13:30. The role involves assisting with classroom activities, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and supporting early years staff as required.

Qualifications

No formal qualification is required. Candidates should have a good basic education and be literate and numerate.

Legal Requirements

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If you have spent a continuous period of three months or more out of the UK in the last five years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required and must be provided. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement is subject to satisfactory outcomes of these checks.
