Administration Assistant – Lung Cancer Screening
The Lung Cancer Screening Administrative Assistant provides reception and routine administrative support to the Lung Cancer Screening Program, ensuring a professional, efficient, and patient‑focused service.
Responsibilities include:
- Contact patients to confirm, book and rearrange Lung Health Check and CT scan appointments in line with agreed processes
- Provide clear and consistent information to patients using approved scripts and guidance
- Respond to routine patient queries and escalates clinical or complex queries to the appropriate team member
- Identify practical barriers to attendance and escalates where appropriate
- Manage did not attend (DNA) appointments in line with service protocols
- Support diverse patients, including arranging interpreter services where required
- Accurately input and update patient data on EPR and PAS in line with Trust guidelines
- Maintain accurate patient records with high attention to detail
- Monitor the Lung Cancer Screening inbox and respond or escalates in line with agreed protocols
- Maintain electronic and manual filing systems as required
- Support general administrative tasks to ensure smooth running of the service
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence required; international driving licence not accepted
- No sponsorship available
- Internal candidates may be considered for secondment; approval required from current line manager if successful
Working hours: Monday‑Friday 08:00‑20:00, Saturday 09:00‑13:00. Service operates six days a week.
