Job Description:

As a Production Apprentice, you will undertake a comprehensive training programme to learn all the tasks required as a member of our Production teams.

Please note: You must be at least 18 years old by 31 December 2026 to be eligible for this apprenticeship. From January 2027, the role requires working a rotating 12‑hour shift pattern (06:00–18:00 and 18:00–06:00). Apprentices under 18 cannot legally undertake night or industrial work.

What you will be doing

  • You will work towards an SCQF Level 2 in Wood and Timber Industries, spending your time on site supported by external training providers.
  • During this time, you will shadow experienced Production Operators in all areas of the Production department, whilst helping to achieve optimum plant utilisation and efficiency.
  • You will also be required to work on a range of projects across the site and prepare short presentations on your progress.
  • Attend other locations across EGGER UK.

What we need from you

  • For all our apprenticeships, we are looking for self‑motivated learners with excellent interpersonal skills as you will be working with a range of departments. You will also need the following:
  • Good standard of secondary education with National 5 qualifications or equivalent in Maths/Applications of Maths and English.
  • Basic standard of IT skills and competent use of Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
