What will be your role in the company?

If you have technical expertise and an analytical mindset, we need you on our team. You will work with us to diagnose faults and conduct root cause analysis for an advanced fleet across a range of systems (electrical, pneumatic & hydraulic), using a combination of electrical schematics, test equipment, and diagnostic software. You will be responsible for performing corrective actions and repairs on new trains in a depot setting to ensure passenger service availability and reliability.

What salary will you be paid for this role?

As a Real Living Wage Employer, we are proud to pay competitively. For this role you will be offered a salary in the region of £56,000 per annum.

What will make you successful in this position?

To succeed in the role you have an NVQ Level 3 in electrical/mechanical engineering (or equivalent) plus 3 years of post‑apprenticeship experience. You are experienced in detecting faults and carrying out root cause analysis across multiple systems, can interpret electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematic diagrams, and are proficient in using diagnostic software, test and measuring equipment. You hold a valid driver’s licence and have a flexible approach to working varying shifts, including weekends, day and night shifts.
