THE ROLE
We are looking for an instructor with experience in training delivery and lesson writing to support a team working on Mini or Small UAS and Tactical RPAS projects. The role involves the design and delivery of UAS technical training in accordance with Defence System Approach to Training (DSAT) methodology.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and deliver UAS technical training courses.
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials.
- Support programme and project delivery across UAS categories.
- Collaborate with defence customers to meet training needs.
- Participate in wider UK Defence, international and civil UAS opportunities as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience as a Fixed Wing (Stalker/Eagle, or Puma) and Multi‑Rotor UAS operator (logbook evidence).
- Teaching or instructional experience.
- Valid UK driving licence and passport.
- UK National with minimum 5‑year residency; successful completion of National Security Vetting (SC or DV) required.
- Military or civil UAS operator experience preferred.
- Familiarity with DSAT methodology, MAA RA 1600 series and CAA UAS category regulations.
- Level 3 Award in Education or equivalent instructor qualifications (e.g., DTTT, AIC, CFS).
- Security clearance (SC or DV) highly desirable.
LOCATION AND HOURS OF WORK
The role is based in Wiltshire with travel across the UK and the EU up to 40 hours per week. Travel costs are covered when delivering courses away from the main site.
