Midday Supervisory Assistant (MSA)
Location: Great Hockham Primary School and Nursery, Great Hockham, Thetford IP24 1PB.
Salary: Pro‑rated £4,211‑£4,286 per annum, including an allowance for holiday pay. SCP 2 of the set support staff salary scale (FTE £24,796 per annum).
Vacancy type: Permanent, part‑time, term‑time only.
Hours: 7.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 11:45 – 13:15.
Start date: September 2026.
Role Overview
Great Hockham Primary School and Nursery, part of Sapientia Education Trust (SET), seeks an individual to supervise pupils under the direction of the Headteacher, ensuring their safety and well‑being during play, dining, classroom and transition periods. The role also includes collecting school lunches by car from a local primary school once a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise pupils in various settings, ensuring adherence to school procedures.
- Support the Headteacher in maintaining safety and well‑being of students.
- Collect school lunches by car from a local primary school once a week.
- Assist in maintaining order and discipline in classrooms and during transitions.
Requirements
- Relevant experience supervising pupils.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work part‑time during term time.
