About the Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, your role may involve supporting pupils with:
- Autism (ASC) – providing structure and communication support
- ADHD – helping pupils stay engaged and focused
- Challenging behaviour – using patience and positive strategies to encourage progress
- Learning difficulties (MLD/PMLD) – adapting learning to meet individual needs
- Mental health needs (SEMH) – building trust and emotional resilience
What We’re Looking For
- Patience, empathy, and resilience
- A genuine passion for helping children with additional needs
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to adapt to different needs and settings
- Valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
Previous experience in schools, care, or youth work is desirable but not essential – we welcome applicants from all backgrounds who are eager to learn.
