Trainee – Development Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in shaping the development journey from inception to completion, building knowledge and capability in procurement methods, contract management, cost control, and project management techniques, with a view to taking on full responsibility over time.
• Support the creation of high-quality advice, information, and reports for the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to Board and Committee outputs while developing confidence in presenting and influencing at a Senior level.
• Take an active part in appointing, coordinating, and managing professional consultants, gaining hands‑on experience in driving the design and delivery of development projects, with increasing leadership responsibility as your experience grows.
• Thrive in a collaborative, project‑driven environment—building strong, effective relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, consultants, and developers. You’ll play an important role in delivering homes across a diverse range of tenures, ultimately stepping up to lead these partnerships with confidence and independence.
