Overview

Join a friendly, flexible, and knowledgeable team to make a difference to the High Weald National Landscape Partnership’s conservation and enhancement of the High Weald landscape and its communities. This role supports practical action on the ground through nature‑friendly farming, woodland management, habitat creation, invasive species control and sustainable visitor access.

Responsibilities

  • Take a landscape‑led approach that reflects the character of the High Weald landscape and the needs of its communities.
  • Provide clear, multi‑faceted and up‑to‑date advice that supports and inspires sustainable land management.
  • Help farmers and land managers with site surveys and mapping, management plans, grant applications, project specifications and contractor management.
  • Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing to help find solutions to land management challenges.
  • Contribute to activities that lead to nature‑friendly farming, woodland management, habitat creation and management, invasive species control and sustainable visitor access.

Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable about land management, conservation, farming or a related field.
  • Able to manage a range of ideas and objectives and offer technical advice and guidance.
  • Experienced in developing and delivering land management projects.
  • Able to plan and organise a varied workload.

Job Details

Full‑time or part‑time (minimum 22.2 hours per week) with the option for a term‑time working pattern. Hybrid working combines remote work with time in the modern offices at Flimwell, on the Kent/Sussex border. Regular travel around the High Weald National Landscape (Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex and Surrey) is required.
