About the Role
As a Market Street Manager you support the Store Manager to deliver exceptional customer service, ensure market‑leading product availability on the market street, and drive performance across the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and empower colleagues to always put the customer first and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Listen and respond to customer feedback and react accordingly.
- Ensure market‑leading availability across the store.
- Work with other store managers to lead a supportive and performance‑driven department.
- Efficiently manage people routines, taking accountability for scheduling, absence, performance and talent conversations.
- Deliver training to ensure the team has the capability and confidence to deliver their role.
- Enable colleagues to work with confidence across various departments.
- Identify and develop talent within the department.
- Build effective relationships with other operating departments.
- Lead colleagues to work with purpose, delivering outstanding performance against all relevant targets.
- Take a leadership role within the store.
- Ensure resources are planned thoroughly.
Qualifications
Whether you have experience in retail, hospitality, the service industry, travel & tourism, or any other customer‑facing role, a passion for delivering exceptional customer service is essential.
- Experience managing a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to share knowledge, experience and best practices.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across all areas, while remaining flexible.
- Adaptable to change and able to challenge effectively.
- Active listening skills and the ability to respond effectively to customers and colleagues.
