Overview
St Peter’s Church is seeking a lead consultant/architect/surveyor to support the enhancement of its Grade I‑listed building, including an accessible toilet and a simple servery. The chosen professional will develop proposals, liaise with the local planning authority, support the faculty application, and oversee construction.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed architectural proposals and supporting materials for planning authority and DAC approval.
- Project‑manage the works, including procurement and contractor oversight to completion.
- Collaborate with the PCC to refine proposals so they meet long‑term needs, secure planning and faculty approval, and are delivered within budget.
Qualifications and Experience
- Accredited in conservation by RICS, AABC, and/or RIBA.
- Experience working on listed church buildings within the Church of England faculty system.
- Provide two recent case studies of similar projects, or referees with contact details.
- Show readiness to begin work following appointment.
Appointment Process
- Submit a pre‑qualification questionnaire.
- Participate in an interview with the PCC (3‑5 candidates).
- Chosen candidate will be offered the contract by 1 September 2026.
