Python Developer & AI Engineer (Forward Deployed)

London, UK | Hybrid – 3 days in office

We are seeking a Python Developer & AI Engineer (Forward Deployed) to join a fast-moving team working across AI platform engineering and direct collaboration with the Investment Team.

The role is split approximately 60/40 between platform engineering and business-facing AI delivery, focusing on building and deploying production‑grade AI solutions.

We are looking for someone who writes clean, production-quality code and can turn AI capability into real business impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain MCP connectors across core systems.
• Support the LLM gateway, including model routing, prompt caching, and cost management.
• Administer Claude Enterprise and ChatGPT Enterprise environments.
• Develop and deploy agentic AI and RAG-based applications.
• Work closely with investment stakeholders to scope and deliver AI solutions.
• Ensure scalable, production‑ready AI infrastructure and high engineering standards.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Python, TypeScript, and .NET development.
• Hands‑on experience building and deploying AI applications in production.
• Experience with MCP or orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, Pydantic AI).
• Strong understanding of LLM infrastructure (routing, caching, inference optimisation).
• Experience with LLM observability tools (e.g. Langfuse).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Claude Enterprise and/or ChatGPT Enterprise.
• Exposure to financial services (not essential).
