Role Overview

This is a very hands‑on role to understand technically the current Command and Control architecture, and support the continued design, development and instantiations for future products. Salary: Up to £65,000 depending on experience. Dynamic (hybrid) working: typically 4 days per week on-site due to workload classification. Security Clearance: Sole British Citizen only. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. All successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

Responsibilities

  • Resolving issues, including competing demands, sensitive situations and conflicts.
  • Involvement in all aspects of development, integration, project management, delivery into service and service support.
  • Provide technical leadership, product ownership and team building as required.
  • Lead technical aspects of development across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working in C++.
  • A strong background in software realisation and system-wide impact with strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong collaborative, open approach to development and ability to work well in a team, maintaining momentum during development.
  • Strong communication skills essential due to multi‑product usage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Awareness and application of Software Quality standards such as DefStan 00-55, DO-178C, or IEC61508.
  • Experience with restricted coding standards such as MISRA C++.
