Software Test Engineer

Salary: Up to £58,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

We’re looking for a Software Test & Automation Engineer to join a team developing and validating advanced simulation software used in complex engineering environments.

You’ll take ownership of software testing activities across the development lifecycle, ensuring products are reliable, compliant, and ready for release.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and execute test plans, test cases, and automation scripts
• Perform functional, integration, and qualification testing
• Analyse logs, data, and software defects to identify root causes
• Support CI/CD pipelines and release activities
• Produce test reports and communicate results to stakeholders
• Work closely with developers to drive software quality improvements

Skills & Experience

• Software testing and test automation experience
• Strong log/data analysis and troubleshooting skills
• CI/CD pipeline knowledge
• Experience with GitLab, Jira, and scripting
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• AI-driven testing tools
• Simulation, modelling, or emulator experience
• Linux networking and diagnostic tools
