What you’ll be doing

  • Engage with subcontractors at all stages from ITT to final commissioning and handover.
  • Ensure subcontract packages are delivered to programme, budget, safety and quality expectations and standards.
  • Ensure packages comply with good design practice and relevant technical group standards.
  • Ensure the package is executed with minimum rework.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records in accordance with the M&E control sheet, including RFIs, CE’s, EWN’s, WPPs, ITPs, record drawings and other project communications.
  • Ensure communication trackers are updated, regardless of platform.
  • Plan and organise plant, access, labour and materials in accordance with appropriate interfaces and procurement activity for the package.
  • Review RIBA 4/5 design deliverables to ensure they are accurate and fit for purpose before works commence.
  • Produce or review the WPP and ITP for a particular activity to contextualise quality assurance mechanisms, at least four weeks before works start.
  • Produce technical input for the statement of work in accordance with the relevant QS, suitable for an ITT.
  • Identify risks to the Project Management team associated with the delivery of works and raise EWNs as appropriate.
  • Monitor performance of the supply chain against planned activities and escalates as required to achieve planned output.
  • Draft site instructions for review and issue by the Project Management team, including detailed descriptions of works required, location, programme impact, cost impact and references to any client‑led change events.
  • Familiarise with and adhere to BB policy, procedures and contract details, and platforms such as BC, undertaking training as required.
  • Support the QA function by completing tours and quality check‑sheets for the relevant package of works.
  • Manage time, complete daily diaries and contribute to any other reporting format applicable.

Who we’re looking for

  • Suitably qualified and experienced within the Building Services and Construction Industry.
  • Holder of the relevant ECS/CSCS card and SMSTS.
  • Knowledge of Defence M&E Specifications.
  • High levels of integrity.
  • Able to constantly focus on meeting or exceeding customer requirements and expectations.
  • Leadership skills developing.
  • Targeting and actively progressing professional accreditation (e.g., ICE, IHT).
