Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Salary: up to £52,271.31 per annum

Working pattern: 6am – 6pm and 6pm – 6am (Four on, four off rotation)

This role is part of the engineering team onsite responsible for internal and external preventative, reactive and corrective maintenance work on plant equipment. The goal is to continuously improve machine reliability, availability and capacity to manufacturing standards.

The role involves increasing site operational effectiveness, improving project delivery, reducing mean time between failures and downtime, managing and implementing improvement plans, and driving KPIs while ensuring compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide reactive and proactive, highly skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure.
• Liaise with external contractors for reactive maintenance and scheduling planned service maintenance. Request and check RAMS, induct personnel, provide permits to work and oversee contractor works onsite to ensure work is carried out safely.
• Follow and complete (sign off) planned maintenance (PMs, RMs & CMs) via a Computer Maintenance Management System, ensuring timely completion of work.
• Actively participate in projects, continuous improvement, and modern manufacturing principles by identifying deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes.
• Assist in the administration of the CMMS (Frontline) to ensure its accuracy at all times.

Essential skills for this role

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• BS7671 18th edition (advantageous).
• Previous health and safety training – proof of experience (does not need to be in date).
• Familiarity and experience with continuous improvement (CI).
