Arla Foods Stourton, located in south Leeds, offers a role in its QEHS team for an EHS Co‑ordinator. The dairy is one of the largest in the UK with a capacity of 750 million litres of milk per year.
Responsibilities
You will play a key part in the site QEHS team in delivering results to ensure continuous improvement through Environment, Health and Safety. You will drive our ambitious Safety agenda and support the wellbeing of our 450 colleagues. Reporting directly to the Senior QEHS Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, and through internal audit identify and develop areas for continuous improvement. You will lead Safety Culture on Site as lead in our Behavioural Safety Programme, develop Safety Champions to ensure Safety accountability in all areas of the Site, and support a busy CapEx project agenda on Site.
Qualifications
- Environmental, Health and Safety background – ideally gained within a manufacturing/FMCG environment.
- NEBOSH certificate (or equivalent) essential.
- Strong Leadership and Teamwork skills.
- Experience of Environmental ISO 14001 standard preferable.
- IEMA certificate (or equivalent) preferable.
- Lead auditor preferable.
- Strong attention to detail and IT skills essential.
