Group Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer
We are now recruiting to the role of Group Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer. You will have a strong track record in leading complex transformation at scale and the ability to build trusted relationships across clinical and corporate teams. On 1 April 2026, the four acute hospital trusts in north west London – Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust – formally came together as the North West London Acute Provider Group. With a turnover of £4.5 bn, we operate 12 hospitals, employ 37 000 colleagues and provide innovative, research‑led care to more than 2.2 million people.
As the largest acute provider system across the NHS, this role presents a pivotal moment to deliver better health outcomes for our communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape and lead the group’s strategic agenda, driving transformation initiatives across the provider system.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with clinical and corporate teams to align on objectives and secure buy‑in.
- Champion an inclusive, collaborative culture and support continuous improvement across the organization.
- Partner with senior leadership to set priorities, allocate resources, and report on progress to stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- Proven track record of leading complex, large-scale transformations.
- Strong strategic leadership skills, able to influence across operating units.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build rapport with clinical and non‑clinical teams.
- Experience working within a health‑care setting or a comparable large complex organisation is desirable.
