Solicitor – Construction Disputes Resolution

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a highly ranked and recognised construction disputes team within an international dispute resolution practice. The firm offers a presence in multiple jurisdictions and their expertise spans across areas of litigation and international arbitration and adjudication. They work with a major portfolio of clients across multiple industries and regularly advise on some of the largest and most complex disputes in the UK and abroad.

Range of workstreams

  • Acting for major developers and contractors on safety issues, advising on potential liabilities and defending claims
  • Advise on pursuing recovery against consultants, designers, architects
  • Handle highly complex and high value disputes including commercial litigation, development disputes, procurement challenges and some Judicial Reviews
  • Advising public and private sector bodies on complex PFI/PPP and procurement disputes involving construction defects and facilities management obligations
  • Advising clients on disputes arising from engineering design issues, professional negligence, and equipment performance
  • Advising clients on mitigating risk relating to building safety legislation and building safety fund decisions.

Requirements

  • Ideally, a mid-level experienced solicitor with c. 4 years PQE (or higher is welcomed). More senior (Legal Director / Partner level) enquiries will also be considered with urgency.
  • NI qualified and experienced however dual qual (ROI or England & Wales) is of value but not essential
  • A background in UK and international construction disputes is welcomed
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent technical ability, client care and commercial awareness
  • Experience gained at a reputable firm is advantageous.
